A friend has used an .115 3rd for a longtime. It works better for him and he has a lot less breakage since going to the .115.
I was going to try it. The forum sells .115 D'Addario and a .115PG GHS. What does PG mean? Aren't these still just plain non wound strings? I was going to buy a bunch and use replace the 3rds in the sets I already have. ... Then I'll have a spare .11 if I need it.
Any thoughts on an .115 3rd?
Thanks |

The PG means "Pedal Guitar". GHS makes 011PG and 017PG strings which they say are "High-Break Tested" for pedal steel guitars. They are plain steel strings. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

It will only let me buy 6 strings when there the current stock was 77. This is fine. I pickup up 6 11PGs and 6 11.5s. That is enough I'm not playing much in the winter.
But if was the summer season and I wanted more can I just order multiple lots of 6 in one go or is this a anti-hoarder rule we can have only 6.
Thanks again for your service! |

Guitars I do during the summer. The rains and humidity are brutal. At just 80 cents each I was going to make stock. Thanks again. |
