Got to spend some time with Russ in Dallas. He’s a true innovator and a really good guy Check on this clip he did with his famous pink steel and a vocoder

I experimented with "Ambient Steel" using the dotted-8th-note deley setting that Russ showed us, 'til 3 in the morning last night! (couldn't sleep due to double whammy of Daylight Savings and two hour time difference).
On a Boss RV3, use Balance knob straight-up, FeedBack knob all the way off (or very low), Deley-Time knob at about 2-o'clock, Mode setting number-2.
Then start to pick and repeat a 4-count, thumb-middle-thumb-middle on strings like 5-6-4-6 5-6-4-6 over and over, while going from open, to AB down, to open, to B + E-to-Eb lever.
In open position this is a 1415 chord progession, E, A, E, B7, E, etc.
I am ready to go into the Ambient Track biz now Smile
Thanks to Russ for the demo!
