Anybody have a wild guess as to production year of BMI D-10, ser 385? It's black mica, 8x5

I borrowed it for a run of "Always...Patsy Cline" through June and part of July. The owner offered to sell it to me so I thought I'd do a little research as to age, value, etc. Nice guitar but heavy for my 73 year old back - good thing it gets to sit in the theater during the run.

I'd appreciate it if you would post the answer, if/when you receive it.

My S-10 1983 BMI has serial # 1024. I've been curious whether all the numbers are sequential; single, double, 10, 12 string, etc. or if there are different codes for different categories.

Jon, I think I read someplace that they used different series of numbers for S-10s, D-10s, etc. I could be wrong however.
