GFI S-12 Ultra Keyless.

I'm interested in hearing from extended E9 or U-12 players about likes and dislikes with their GFI. I find the GFI very interesting but not traditional. I may like a one neck, one tuning steel that is easy to change pulls and easy to lift.

I have a Sd-10 keyless......just got it a few weeks ago but so far I love it. A friend of mine has one just like it and that's what sold me on one after playing his. I have other steels also(I'm down to 4 now) but I find nothing wrong with the GFI. They are made well.

Russ, I played a keyless uni GFI last month that played and sounded great. It had the stock GFI/George L pup. I was never a uni player, but it really inspired me and I couldn't get away from it. It was very light, yet didn't wobble around when getting on the knees like some.

I have a GFI Ultra D10 8+8 keyless and I have been tempted ever since playing it to trade. I even contemplated selling my ZB, but...just can't quite bring myself to that.

I'll repeat what I said on the Carter/GFI thread a week or so ago. I have a keyless GFI S-10 with 4+6 which I bought to experiment with some E9 ideas I have and to see what the keyless concept was all about. If you are into experimenting with different changes the GFI is a perfect guitar, I have fooled with many different brands of guitars through the years and the GFI is hands down the easiest guitar to make changes on I have ever owned. Rarely do you have to move anything thing to get to that one screw you need to adjust. I would bet that changes I made took 1/3 of the time they would on other guitars I have had. Solid guitar, good sound, no surprises.
