As I'm sure most of you know, the Fingertip is one of the earliest designs of pedal steel.I bought this guitar because it seemed like most steel guitar greats played Fingertips at some point in their careers and now, half a century later the tone from these records is often the most fondly remember and sought after, such as Lloyd Green with Charlie Pride at Panther Hall. I've decided to sell it because I've got too much gear on my hands and I find myself only playing my S10.
This guitar will need tuning up. It's needs a stop for the RKR lever and the LKR lever is included but needs to be reassembled. The pedals operate as they should.
The pickups are original and the sound is all there.
Edit: Craig Davidson has informed me that he had the pickups rewound by David Jackson, some time ago when he had that guitar. The pickups sound amazing, it has a very full sound, the kind you'd expect from a Sho Bud from this time.
Cheers
JD

Nice! Still looking good.
That's my old Fingertip. Bought it here on the forum from Craig Davidson and sold it here on the forum to Damir Besic.
Those two screw holes on the front were for a name plate for the original owner that I still have. _________________ Steel Learnin'

Could easily be put back into optimal operation. J.David has given a great head start to the next curator/custodian with a price figure as attractive as lts wood grain...that this ol' gal has not seen much grind nor rigors of the road, I think is fairly obvious. |
