MCI Range Expander. Basically an EMCI. When Buddy added the GL E-66's to the Range Expander, the differently designed MCI, with welded corners (which has metal front and rear aprons), plus wider pedal spacing became the EMCI, The first RangeExpanders had BarcusBerry pu's. Ken Collins |

I used to have Buddy's EMCI and the pickups in it were the E-66 prototypes. He could have replaced the Barcus Berrys with the E-66s. I don't know. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

The rosewood EMCI with the E-66 pickups. I had a conversation with Buddy when the album came out about the sound. Also, if you look inside the Christmas Sounds tab book, it's listed under the equiptment used.
Chris is that the guitar you had?ook he lists it there. |
