I've got a D8 Guyatone stringmaster copy and although I like the hot and kinda fat sounding pickups, it would be fun to try something else in it. Has anyone here tried changing the pickups in a Guyatone steel? Would a modern repro stringmaster pickup, such as a Lollar or Duncan antiquity, fit? Would you have to do any modifications the the pickup cavities or bridge plate?
