Deep Water - Jeff Agnew steel instrumental -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2rIFaVHAR8&t=468s
starts at 5:50 – Neat transition chord at 6:30 right after bridge - song ends at 7:45
Question: Jeff or anyone, can you tell me how to play/capture than transition chord on the pedal steel played right after the bridge? Also can anyone share the notes of the chord on the steel? My Universal set-up is pretty much standard Bb6. I would like to "hit" that chord on both pedal &/or non-pedal steel, so I can wow the folks at the senior center [HA]. Really. That is the only place I've played/volunteered for the past few years. |

I think its a C#6 add 9. Its played on the 13th fret C6 neck, strings 864 with the 7th pedal raising the 4th string a whole note. So you have a 651 interval C#6 that turns into an added 9 by raising the 1 into a 2, which is the 9th |

Thank you so much, Jim. I've been playing pedals very little lately & didn't think of that pedal/string combo. |
