I'm thinking about putting the quad pickups in my PRP. I would appreciate any feedback anyone has about it.The neck on mine already has the cavity routed out from the underside, just needs to be milled on through.Soooo.if you've ever had one and can offer any advice I'm all ears. Thanks in advance Dave |

Yeah Bill I'm beginning to think that there were not that many of them made.Just seems like it would give you a lot of tonal possibilities. |

Give Mickey Adams a call. He had a Pre RP with the quad pickup setup. _________________ Mark T

I believe that I heard Del say there were about 20 or so dual PU Mullens, Ive seen 8 so far..I owned a 92 for several years, and it is still a great guitar today....My personal opinion is that no matter how many pickups you put in, they are rarely going to sound better than the single PU config..most of the combo settings are thin, nasaly, and just unappealing to my ear.... _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

Thanks Mickey for chiming in here! You have owned enough of these guitars to know what I'm dealing with. This 95 I've got, has a very bright tone and I'm trying to tame it down.Think I'm gonna try changing pickups again. Just not sure what to use.Mike Mantey suggested a GL 10-1.Maybe it's not the guitar but my hearing is going down hill.IDK.By the way are you still doing rebuilds? |

I am rebuilding yes.. ready to overhaul her?
And I believe a 10-1 May do just that.. _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

Bobby White had dual pickups on his last Mullen and I asked him why. He said "Don't really know. I had some leftover money, I guess." _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

I heard Bob play that guitar and thought it sounded wonderful. Or perhaps it was Bob who sounded wonderful. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

If the 10-1 is a little too dark, try an SS-10...my personal favorite GL pickup. Or you could just take some of your leftover money and buy a Jackson that the pickups slide forward and backwards...assuming David and Harry still have that option available. I had a guitar with that in it and it's pretty cool. I found that I liked it best with the pickup slanted a little bit towards the neck on the lower strings. Sorta like this... / |
