I JUST PURCHASED A U12 E6th B6th AND HAVE ONLY PLAYEd D-10 COULD SOME OF YOU STEELERS E-MAIL ME SOME IDEAS OF GOOD PEDAL SET UP`S TO HELP ME DECIDE SOME GOOD CHANGES. I BOUGHT IT OFF THE FORUM BUT NOTHING CAME WITH IT TO KNOW THE COMBINATIONS TO PLAY WITH PEDALS THANKS FOR AMY HELP

The Carter site has some good S12 player's copedants but you will have to search through each player.

Bill, go to the top of the page, under search, and type in "Universal Tuning", w/o the quotes, and you'll be able to search over 200 threads about universal tunings.

If you intend to buy any instruction courses, it would be easier to learn if you are set up the same as your instructor.

Do yourself a favor and lose the preconception that you need instructional material specifically oriented to the U-12. Reading C6 tab from the bottom up and E9 tab from the top down will allow you to tap virtually ALL of the existing instructional material.
If you don't understand how the sixth tuning sounds are integrated into the tuning, you may want to check out my website (click below) and/or pick up Jeff Newman's universal course. There's a wide world of instruction out there and you can use ALL OF IT.

| I agree with Larry. Even for D10, almost no two instruction authors use the same setup and notation. You always have to adapt a little. This is no more true for uni than for D10. |
