Those of us that follow Hawaiian music know Sonny Lim maybe more for his slack key guitar work and also for being an integral part of the fantastic Hawaiian music group of the past called "The Lim Family". That group over the years consisted of his mother and father and two sisters. Now it seems that Sonny is returning to one of his early loves and has re embraced the steel guitar. He has become part of a new group consisting of David Ka'io and Keola Grace called "Kuleana".

The Hawaiian word "kuleana" means responsibility, duty and obligation.

Nice stuff, although I think he's rushing it a bit.

Norman,
Mahalo nui for recording this and the others by this group that you've just posted on YouTube. Really sorry I missed this live. Holei especially, but they're all great!
