I have an 82 Zum U-12 with some keys that are tight, even with the tuning key head screw loosened. Also, I never did like the high gear ratio. The Grovers on my 1976 MSA are lower gear ratio, operate smoothly and easy to tweak quickly and accurately. Is there a Grover tuning key that will fit the Zum? Or, any other brand with a lower gear ratio that will fit it?
I'm not sure what the Grover ratio is? Maybe 18:1? The tuners on the Zum probably 14:1?
