I am starting to feel quite guilty due to the fact that I own a D-10 yet the C6 neck is seldom played on. I have made some attempts to learn by tab, but have proved to be like learning a composition by rote and not really understanding the fundamentals of the tuning. Could any of you be able to recommend an instructional method which takes a player that is quite comfortable on the E9 neck, and demistify the C6 neck using simple excersises to build technique and scale pattern recollection, etc.
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated
Thank You

I second that. Buddy's course is probably the best to start with. It helped me a lot anyway.
There's also material from Jeff Newman, Herby Wallace etc.
Take a look in courses on this forum or do a quick search, you will find lots of possibilities.

I recommend you try all of the above, but I would start with Bobbe Seymour's Instant C6th videos Vol I & II. Good stuff there if you really want to kick start your knowledge of the back neck. |
