I always enjoyed visiting the Peavey room at the shows. Too bad they were not there in Dallas. Peavey has been a mainstay for steel guitars for many years, and many players still rely on the NV400, NV112, the LTD, etc. Great tone and reliability.

My booth included Nashville 112, Session 115, and the Trace Elliot equipment owned by Peavey for bass, steel guitar, electric guitar. We answered lots of questions and saw great excitement for the new Trace Elliot Elf amp at the show.

Hopefully see you next year.

Gary, Thanks and, yes, I saw your display. I notice the new look on the NV112. Is it just in the look or have they changed other features?

It produces a full spectrum of sound from lows to highs and in between, call me for my suggestions of the combination to use. You might see what Mickey Adams thinks of his, he bought and has used his. I believe he likes it. I know he was excited about it when he purchased it at the Dallas Show.

It will produce 200 watts of power into a 4 ohm speaker.
Tone adjustments to get the sound you want.

It is just a new look. The current Nashville 112 was modeled after my original Nashville 112 and they sound GREAT.
Buck Reid used his on stage in Dallas along with a Goodrich L120 volume pedal and nothing else.
Buck says this is all he needs.

The ELF preamp was designed for bass guitar applications, but I tried it at home and it sounds pretty good for steel as well. Most bass amps have a good damping factor, so they work well for steel as well. Try the ELF if you get a chance.

Peavey the company may have not been at the show, but Peavey amps were there. Buck had one of the best tones at the show. There were several on the show case on Thursday night using Peavey. I don’t think you can do better than Peavey, unless you spend 1000s. more.

I don't know how you can get lighter with as less than 2 lb. with 200 watts, plug it into any quality 4 ohm or 8 ohm bass speaker and you have a light weight bass amp.

Use it for steel, yes it sounds that good! Just add a reverb box and or delay box and you are set to handle what ever might be thrown your way. It has all the bass, mids and highs you need for steel. Dial it in to your liking.

I will have one at the Southern Illinois Productions Show in April in Mt. Vernon, IL

You can hear what it sounds like on bass and steel, whatever you bring it will sound great to play on this tiny amp.
