I have a lovely Goodrich LSW, which has a power problem. It was working fine with a Truetone One Spot powering the circuit (similar to the Goodrich Omni) through the 9V adapter. Then a wire came unsoldered from the battery clip.
I ended up taking off the battery clip and hard-wiring a One Spot adapter to the existing power supply wiring. After soldering the connection, the active circuit does not engage.
My question is:
Does the red wire from the power adapter get soldered to the red wire inside the pedal, or was I supposed to solder the black wire to the red wire?
My limited reasoning skills told me to wire red to red, touch it with solder, wrap the exposed wire in electrical tape, screw the base plate on, and get back to playing. However, that has not been the case.
Any input from electrical gurus is greatly appreciated! _________________ Ham-fisted steel pedal player in my mother’s favorite band: www.nationalpublicrodeo.com |

You have to wire black-to-black also. _________________ Too much junk to list... always getting more. |

Todd, just so I understand correctly: you wanted to add an ac power supply to replace the original 9v battery power set up? If so, just curious why you wanted to do that. |
