yeah, that's the inimitable John Hughey. Big losses with both him and Conway. |

What venue was this? Even the audience is a class act. Most of the men are dressed in suits/ties, the women in classy attire... _________________ Sierra Crown D-10 |

Tim,
I saw Oslo on the YouTube title so it should be Oslo, Norway. Love the Hughey sound! Carl |

Back when you could actually talk to the person next to you.
I would always go see the Conway/Loretta shows if I could. John is my all time favorite steel player. And Bob, what can you say. He is beyond great. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . As Tim Russell posted about the dress. (Band & audience.) Sad that a lot of the bands look as if they just came in from a construction job and forgot to wash up for the Gig. I guess I'm from a different time warp ! ! ! ! |

Me too. I am from the "everyone dress alike" era too. Since we are putting on a show, we should look like entertainers. I still try to dress really nice, no matter what the rest of the band wears.

Love to watch this band. It feels like they could fall off the tracks at any moment, yet they all play so effortlessly and with joy. Crazy rhythm section. |

Great video. 4 of Conway's group are gone. Conway Twitty himself, Joe Lewis his bass player/harmony singer, Tommy (Pork Chop) Markham drummer and Papa John Huey Steel Guitar are all gone now. I saw them in Fairmont WV about 1969 or 70. Time stands still for no one. |
