I think forum member Mike Mcgee has it. He is a wonderful player and belongs to the Ozark Steel Guitar Association in Branson Mo.
Check out some of the videos on YouTube.

Bob....I'm not sure about the second one. I know Mike Mcgee has the one, and I think Lee Ogle from Baxter Springs said his was one of Johns also..

Boys, I know of at least six people that have Zum guitars that John Hughey played. That's not counting the ones I don't know about.
There for a while there was a black one of John's trade in every year at the Dallas show in Bruce's booth.
Troy Porter in Globe AZ. has one such guitar, I was with Randy Weidman in St Louis one year when he picked up a wood grain D-10 from John. There's a bunch of them out there.

I, too, would like to own one. Not because I believe it would make ,e sound like him, but, because he owned it and I really appreciated him and his playing.

I remember that show ....It was the first time I saw John play live....First I got the chills, and shortly after teared up like a little kid.... It was the first time I ever had such an amazing emotion from listening to someone's playing!! I went up and shook hands with him and told him of my experience....He smiled and said " Was I that bad ? " I'll never forget that day as long as I live..... Jim
