I'm considering a purchase of a desirable lap but it has a Stringtone attached. It's hard to tell from the pics and I have never seen one in person. Are they easily removed and whats left after? possibly only screw holes?
Thank you.

Depends on the bridge/string retainer setup. In most cases it's just screw holes but in some cases the owner may have butchered the string retainer to gain clearance for the Stringtone. A functional Stringtone seens to be worth $100-$150 on ebay so don't toss it in the trash. Might fund a replacement bridge, if needed.
