Topic: FT: Zum 1" oversized legs and rods for standard length |

Hey all, I have a Zum Hybrid that has 1" oversized legs and rods that I'd like to trade to someone for standard sized legs and rods. The Hybrid is a D-10 with 8 pedals, so I'll need 8 rods. Also, only the front legs are oversized, so I may only need to trade 2 legs. I'd prefer to have all four legs match, so we'll have to look at the leg adjustments to see if they match or not.
Anyhow, let me know if you or anyone that you know would be interested in a trade.

Thanks for the response! The rods appear to be right at 27". I tried to make a trade to one gentleman but his rods were from a zum universal and were only 24" long. They were too short for my Hybrid.
Below is a picture showing the length.

Sure thing! Here is the length of the front leg. Exactly 1" longer than all of the other legs for my other Mullen, Franklin and Show Pro guitars.

| Like I said in your other post, when you go home trade with Wally when he ain't looking. Seriously, on the legs they could be easily cut off, but I guess if you find the pedal rods, they'd wanna trade legs too. A lot of the time when you add a lift kit, you just add collars to the legs, but that one was factory built 1" taller. |

| That would be too tall for me too. What I'd do, if I were you, is cut both down, really not that hard. You have more than enough thread on the pedal rods to that. On the leg, just use a broom handle to punch the threaded insert out of the legs, use a pipe cutter to cut the legs down, then tap the insert back in. |

Hey Danny, I like that idea! Wonder if he'd notice? 😜
I have plenty of guitars with standard legs, and like you said it's pretty simple to cut the legs off. The big deal for me are the rods. I keep hoping that someone could use these rods and legs and would be willing to trade. |

| The rods are the easiest part. Just keep the nut on the threads, cut it off, then back off the nut to clean up the threads. Cut off half of what you think you need to cut off that way you have room to cover if you make a mistake. Just leave enough on for full adjustability to the longest length. |

| If I didn't think we were Wally, I wouldn't pick on you like that. You ought to see some of the things the happens to me as age adds up. I ordered a "Y" to connect 2 stomp boxes to a One spot power supply. The day it came in, I was looking for something else and found 2 I already had, still in their packages. |
