In another thread, John Hartie asked about DADGAD tuning for lap steel. Here's my arrangement of Danny Boy from my Exploring Open D book. It's a simple 1/2 step tweak from standard Open D - just raise string #3 from F# to G.

I've played DADGAD guitar doing Irish music for a long time, but never thought of trying it with a steel. Hmmmm... Where's my acoustic lap steel?
