What do you need done, and how quickly? I come through there often enough _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects |

Thank you for the tip Larry Baker. I haven't made it in to the store yet,but them JCM Pedal Steels they are building look enticing. Lane I actually live in ( get this) Steelville about 40 minutes from Hwy 44. I added two knee levers a while back. Lever 3 is working great with a half stop on strings 2 and 9. The 4 th lever is lowering a whole 3 half steps. Need some fine tuning on the lever stop I'm guessing. I noticed one of the lever set screws is missing. When I can get my work bench cleared off of projects here in the next few days I'm going to put her up there and take a closer look. The 3 working levers are keeping me plenty busy for now,I haven't even figured out what I'm going to do with the 4 th lever yet. _________________ Shobud Pro1,BMI U12, Santa Cruz F, PRS Standard, Fender Twin Reverb, ‘53 000-28 |

Well I got her up on the bed and took a closer look. All,she needed was a little tweaking.
The C Pedal had been missing the stop occasionally sending them notes off the charts. I noticed quite a bit of play on the shaft between the brackets. I moved the C Pedal cranks towards the back where now if the shaft slides back too far the A Pedal pull rod will prevent it from sliding back to the point where the crank will miss the stop. And also noticed a broken shaft spring. Ordered. The F lever had worked its way
a little loose so tightened that up and adjusted the stop. I had no idea where the lever stop should be so I guessed at a little under tuned and tuned her up the rest of the way with the nylon nut. As far as the G lever I'm also guessing I wanted it to lower the 6 string a whole step. When I originally installed it a few years ago I had blues licks in mind. I'll have to work with it and see If I actually have a use for it here I guess. It doesn't sound great when I play it after it being in the case for a while, but I will get there again. _________________ Shobud Pro1,BMI U12, Santa Cruz F, PRS Standard, Fender Twin Reverb, ‘53 000-28 |
