There's no other expert than Reece himself. He still keeps fine records and enjoys recounting some of his works art. |

Reece is da man, and Reece himself has said that Donny's knowledge of MSA dates and serial numbers is astonishing. |

Production records indicate serial number 1C-5001 as being a single 10 SS with 3 pedals and 4 knee levers. It was born on January 11th 1976. The color was not entered into record.
It was originally shipped to Tom Bradshaw in Concord California. Possibly he can provide you with additional information as to whom he may have sold it too.
We made relatively few single neck SS models, which makes your guitar pretty rare. |

Hello Reece. Can you kindly run a date check on my beautiful, white D-10: 2C486. Sounds and plays great. Much appreciated. |

Andrew B....Production records show 2C-486 to be a white double 10 which left the factory with 8 pedals and 2 knee levers. It was originally shipped to our distributor in Chicago. A specific birth date was not entered into record.
Thanks for asking and for being part of what we consider to be the MSA family. |

Andrew, my guess for your guitar would be early '73, probably February or March. |

Reece, might I get a birth date on a D10, 2C5625, and a place that I might buy a bell crank for the same. Thanks a lot, Mike |

Mike S....Serial number 2C-5625 shows to be a black double 10 which left the factory with 8 pedals and 4 knee levers. It's original destination was Guitars Unlimited, location unknown.
The exact date of birth was not entered into record, however records do indicate it as having been made in May of 1977!
Sorry, we no longer have parts for the old MSA guitars, but I'm sure some of our forum friends will be glad to help you. |
