I have a 50's/60's Fender Champion lap steel guitar and I want to replace the tone cap in it with something close to period correct.

It's a yellow Astron, .05 MF 200 VDC

Any options would be appreciated, thanks!

StewMac has these repro oil-in=paper Emerson caps, The .047mf would be the best match.

Reproduction .05mfd PIW are available, including some official Fender branded caps. Luxe Radio makes a lot of repro caps. I found some hand-made new repro brown paper caps on eBay that fit the bill.
