Another great News Years Eve gig!! but had a heart stopping moment. Pre gig set up and left the stage to retrieve a lead. Heard a 'bang' turned around to see my 1948 Rickenbacher NS lap steel on the stage floor bumped by the sound tech off the stand. I stand to play so it had fallen from chest height to the wood stage floor.
My heart sank!!!! 😢 but it's built like a tank! another paint chip and bent tuning peg. On with the show!!
Oh well...another part of it's history now!
Lesson for all of us...DONT LEAVE YOUR STEEL UNATTENDED!!

Lucky Jeff as A B6 may be in need of a new neck, the tin man of the Rickenbacker family is the most robust to take out for gigs etc.

A bent peg is no big deal Jeff. Cool
