It's pretty easy.
1. Tune all strings open
2. Tune pedals using hex tuners
3. Tune Knee levers using hex tuners
I doubt that guitar has a Franklin pedal so there aren't typically any pedals you would push to lower a string on the E9th neck but the C6th would have several that lower various strings. _________________ Cops aren't paid much so I steel at night. |

think of the concept..
The changer finger has a rivet in the middle, a top and a bottom. ( hence 2 up 2 down changer etc...)
IF you pull the top it raises the string.
if you pull the bottom the finger has a reverse reaction, it loosens the string.
The nylon hex nuts limit the distance of the pull, ( an adjustable stop so to speak) raise or lower . _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders , Eastman Mandolin ,

Tab, here’s a link: https://www.steelguitar.com/maps/changer.html#
Click on “raise finger†then on “lower fingerâ€...the animation will help you understand the motion of the finger when activated by the pull rods, I hope?
Best to ya! _________________ “TONESNOB†|

This is what happens when your mother buys you a push pull in '75 and you never have bothered with an all-pull mechanism.
Thanks for the help, fellows!
BTW-My '75 PushPull is setup so well that I actually broke a string the other night at a gig! It was the first string I had broken in at least 10 years, and yes it was the 3rd on the E9th. Im hoping this new old Super Pro isn't much of a string breaker.

My understanding of the Super Pros is you break the pot metal levers before the string breaks! Just kidding! Good luck! _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |
