Rack Multi-Effects Units That Are Available Today?

Preferred models?

I have used a Peavey Tube Flex with a Nashville 400 for years but Tube Flex are getting hard to find, etc! So, I'm looking around for a newer model FX unit that is still in production.

I'm getting a new Quilter Steelaire so why not upgrade to a new FX rack unit that steel players know and like.

Suggestions needed.

Cheers,

Billy

I use stomp box pedals with my Steelaire. It seems that most rack FX units require a line level signal while stompboxes and the Quilter FX loop require an instrument level signal.

I hear you. I'm still using rack multi-fx units too. I'm good for now, but always looking.

I noticed some available units at www.sweetwater.com

TC Electronic has 3 or 4 units compatible with musical instruments. From the low end M100 stereo to the later G2 units. I believe the folks at Telonics are using one of their units in their rack stuff.

They also still show the Avid Eleven Rack available, so they're still around.

If size and weight are a factor you might look at the ZOOM Multi Stomp Multiple effects multiple settings for each and the ability to use more than one at a time in a very small single pedal.

This isn't a rack unit but the Line 6 M9 is a good effects unit. Only 3 effects at a time.

Your 'Steelaire' amp features a 9V output jack mounted in the rear panel for powering effect pedals eliminating the need for an external power supply. A rack mount multi effects unit normally requires 120V AC, one more piece of equipment to plug in.

Been using a “Rack-Mount” Lexicon MPX1 for the last couple of years and love it... I have a setting in mine that Buddy Castleberry (Who has since passed) programed for me with both Reverb and Delay running in Parallel... same as what Buddy Emmons and John Hughey used

I am using the TC Electronics G Major 2, and also the Lexicon MX300 - both great single space rack mount units
