This is an adaptation of a ballad written and performed by resonator ace Stacy Phillips on “The Great Dobro Sessions” album of a few years back.

I’ve seen the reso tablature for “Last Rose” and it’s a nightmarish combination of string pulls, forward and reverse slants, hammer-ons, pull-offs, sometimes all happening simultaneously. It's a little easier to play on pedal steel but doesn't have all the exquisite voicings the reso does. Tradeoffs...
