Looks like eleven strings on the E9 neck, despite what the ad says. _________________ It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. |

If it is in Spokane, I would bet Duane Becker would know about it. |

WHY, for WHAT reason do ZB's go for so much less money than other brands????? _________________ I'm over the hill and hittin'rocks on the way down!

"Emma's standard" with E9th on the top and C6th below. Loved her work with Little Jimmy Dickens and the break on "Someday Soon".

I have one just like it along with a dozen other brands. Mine is a D-11/10 like that one. The body is a good 4" longer than the D-10 ZB to accommodate the huge keyhead. I think all that contributes to the sound of it. Mine sounds like bells ringing but like driving a standard shift cabover White Freightliner as opposed to a Mullen that feels like a Lexus. No pain, No gain.
Here is a video of me playing a little tune I wrote.

Luckily, I recently acquired an SD-11 ZB (thanks Ben!), which weighs much less. So I do not lust after this one, as I normally would!
But it sure looks nice... _________________ "To live outside the law you must be honest." (Bob Dylan) |

I think Emma was Betty Jean's younger sister. She was never very good with math.
Looks like a really nice ZB though. |

Hey I seen that ZB a couple of weeks ago when I was in that little pawn/music store. Pretty big, very heavy and not all that bad shape. I think it sold as it was not there three days ago when I stopped by. |

Duane, what was name of the music shop?? This is no longer for sale, as I bought it thru Reverb.com today. I saw, and could not resist, tho working thru Reverb was not a fun or pleasant experience. Wish it had been on the Forum. Az Art Found it by accident. _________________ "like an old stallion, lonely for freedom, still trying to out run the wind" Seals,Setser,& Davey.

It is supposed to be serial 024, which I am guessing was made by Tom Brumley while still in Bakersfield. But i am not sure yet. pointing me to info on ZBs would be of great help. also on EMMA and the 9i string tuning. Thanks alot Art _________________ "like an old stallion, lonely for freedom, still trying to out run the wind" Seals,Setser,& Davey.

Because the undercarriage scares the hell out of people. Too bad. They are great guitars, and not that hard to work on once you understand how the system works. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) .
