Hi all,

I own a 70's LDG which I've been told has some 'pot metal' parts which could wear in the future. If I can find some, id like to buy some replacement parts so I have them should I ever need them. Especially the 'fingers' which I can't find anywhere

I've tried Michael Yahl at PSG Parts and Jim at steel guitars but they don't have them. Anyone else I should try?

Many thanks

Well here's the main "pot metal" parts you want to replace; which I do this work all the time for guys that send their later model shobuds to me. And I get all these parts from Michael at www.psgparts.com

http://psgparts.com/Pull-Pedal-Hex-Pro-Series-125-225-1.htm

You won't need the pullers...they never brake.
but he has a ton of them>

Not sure why you said he doesn't have any; because he does. Maybe you meant he doesn't ship over seas....which I'm sure you find a HUGE prob. and its not your fault and its not our fault and its not the shipping company's fault....it is our world devastations going on's FAULT.
Have him ship to a friend here in the states that will go through the total awful time of paperwork and customs fees; to ship them to you.

Thanks for this both, It was the bits that the string goes over I was trying to get. Think the're called fingers? The round bits that the string goes over? They look in pretty good shape at the minute but worried the'll develop grooves in the future and I won't be able to replace them.

Many thanks

Darren the main prob with those later model fingers you have; are the lower arm pushes the top piece creates a groove there and makes for inconsistent leverage. See pics below. No worries on getting a groove on top where the string goes over.

If you ever have a finger start hanging up on ya...email me; and I'll tell you how to fix it...but it's a rare problem; unless the steel has been played a million hours for 40 years.
