Well, like an iggit, I let my string supply get low. I thought I had a few more E9 sets left, but they're all C6. The local music store has John Pearse, Black Diamond and GHS E9 set. Have any of you tried these brands? Did you like them? I'm temped to go with the Black Diamonds.

Before I went for Black Diamond I would be making up my own set by buying Ernie Ball or the like as individual strings.

I'm not familiar with John Pearce (there's a lot I don't know); GHS is a reputable company, but do be sure that all the guages are the same as what you have been using unless you want to spend the evening re-tuning all your pedals and knees.

Hey David..how ya doin..

I have used GHS and they were ok.. The others "NOT"

Howran Music in Gastonia ( off of Garrison), Dennis stocks George L's..

Although I have been using Jagwires and Cobra's, I do keep a set or two of George L's L's as spares..and get them from Dennis whenever I am in the area..

Hows the new band goin ? Dennis says it's kickin'..

by the way..DO NOT use Electric Guitar strings..The ball wraps are not the same. I tried several Ernie Ball 017 and 011 as spares and they lasted ..like ..two pedal mashes each..

Thanks for the info guys, looks like I will stick with one of my former brands, the GHS stainless. I just hope they have them in Emmons Guages. Tony, the band is sounding good. I'm looking forward to playing the Visulite Theater tonight! Come out if ya can.

Take Care

Oh by the way. I've been using D'Addario as spare 11's and 18's and so far they've been fine. Figured I'd mention it in case you're ever in a tight spot and need to get spares.

Take Care
