Topic: Any accessory attachments for a steel without a pad? |

The guitar I am using doesn't have a pad to rest my wrist. Also don't have any room to lay accessories like a bar and picks when I am not playing.. Does anyone have any ideas to make a simple attachment I can put on or take off that could be used to help with this? One thought is to Velcro a small plastic tub to the side to hold stuff ( but that won't solve the wrist rest problem.)

Here is what I done to the MSA I played for about 16 years. Was handy to place picks and bar at home. With the 12S key head gave me room to make the grove long enough to hold my 10S bar and a Plastic Do-Bro together on stage and could switch easy for song needs. I have done about the same thing to the GFI I am now playing but the site will not load a picture which was taken with a different camera. It is attached to the guitar with industrial grade Velcro.

| Oh I forgot to mention look close at the picture above the metal bar on the other end of the pad holds my tuner where I can plug in and look right at it. The bar slides into a little metal pocket I screwed to the end of the wood strip. The tacks holding the leather pad cover are sowing pens cut off with pliers. |

| Forum member Don Blood manufactures a removable pad for S-10 guitars. Nice design, adjustable width and attaches and detaches easily.. Trays for holding your bar and picks (and even a drink) are designed for mic stands but will also fit the legs on a steel guitar (which are actually the same thing) and most likely can be found at Guitar Center or one of the on line stores such as 'Sweetwater', 'Musician's Friend', or 'American Musical Supply'. |

My Rest Pad is removable, my Guitar is a Sierra. The pad can be modified in many ways, because it is almost as long as my PSG.
