When things got ironed out and the deal was agreed upon, then the "hold your breath" part started. Well, the shipper was kind to me and didn't smash my guitar--YEE Haww!
So now I pull the case out of the box, and the guitar out of the case and screw in the legs----anticipation!! I set it upright and rake a finger over the strings, and the guitar resonates so hard I can feel it through the floor and even through my work boots---wow! What acoustics!! and when I plugged it in, those Jerry Wallace pickups took these acoustics to a whole new dimension!! WOW!!
And looking at this eye candy almost gave me a sugar rush!! This is the most beautiful Shobud I have ever owned or seen for that matter, to me.
I want to thank Mr. Jimmie Martin for such a fine guitar!! Your finish job on this guitar is stunning! Thankyou, my friend, you sure did justice to this vintage guitar!! |

Speaking of Ricky, he's finishing up the restoration work on my LDG within the next few days---hope the shippers also get it right, again! ha Carl |

Hey Carl, I believe the pickups are both 17500 ohms. Bet you are going into withdrawls wanting your LDG back! There's one on ebay right now, but I have my wife's patience stretched pretty tight right now! HA! I have two D-10's now. My '69 Professional will stay setup at the house--less wear and tear on it. The new one will be my giggin' guitar. HA! I can't place Choctaw, how far are you from me? [This message was edited by James Morehead on 01 July 2005 at 07:48 AM.] |

As Ricky says, what a pair of aces! Bea-u-tuh-ful James! Ricky just installed a 17.5 TT on mine also and you know it brother, withdrawal city awaiting my "new/old" LDG. Choctaw is just east of OKC about 12 miles +/- north of I-40 which would be approx 80-100 miles as the crow flies. If you are ever up in this neck of the woods, give me a holler---Have a safe 4th and enjoy your new bud Carl [This message was edited by Carl Williams on 01 July 2005 at 12:26 PM.] |
