I'd like to apologize to all involved in the thread regarding chords, inversions, etc. While reading the thread's reply I wasn't in a real good mood. In fact I've had a few rough days. Personal and financial problems along with a death of a close friend. Couple that with some new health problems. With my Multiple Sclerosis I've added glaucoma, cadaracs,a hernia with a Schlotsky's ring, which is a tight spot in my esophagus. I have trouble swallowing solids and I'm going to have to goto a liquid diet.
Having said that I replied with a wrong attitude and for that I apologize If I offended anyone.
Sorry |

Dan -- we're all human.
Let me be the first to put a hand on your shoulder and say "hang in there." We're all brothers and sisters.

I haven't read anybody that hasn't had an odd word to say every now and then.
Sure not something to worry about.
Sounds like you have enough to deal with.
I hope that things improve and that you'll keep the forum posted. We're all friends here.

Dan.. I've apologized to the forum so many times, I'm wearing sack cloth and ashes!!
All the folks here understand the fact that guys get PO'd at replies on occassion and may say a few things that have a little "attitude".... This place is pretty forgiving of a few angry words now and then.
Many of us have done it, yet there are very few grudges held.
I sure hope you get feeling better real soon.. Hang in there!!.. bob |

Dan,
The most important thing we can do right now is to pray your health improves so that you can play whatever chord inversions you enjoy.
Sometimes that little bit of arthritis I have makes me play two finger inversions on the guitar and piano so I can get by without stretching too much. I get cranked because I wished I could get out there like some of the long-fingered types I see, but God made me the way I am and that has to be good enough.
Trust and believe then you will succeed. |

You've got a whole lot of courage, Mr. Dan, physical and spiritual. Thanks for the inspiration.

I hope you can get past your financial & personal problems, from what I know of you, you have a great sense of humor and a uncanny Bill Clinton impression..That alone should count for something! Anyway I am sending good thoughts and wishes to you this day.

Well, I think the question was asked and answered. Your "mad" reply (after the very informative one) wasn't as far off base as you let on. I have received similar complaints regarding "know-it-all" members and a lack of respect for the people who really do know what they're talking about.
I'm moving this to "Forum Feedback". Anyone who wants to read the original post for reference should click here.
Thanks for the apology, Dan. Accepted by all, I believe.
