I got a suspicious email seemingly from Bob's email address but wouldn't open the attachment or click on the link in the email. Instead I clicked Reply to ask if it really was Bob or was his account hacked. I quickly got a reply in broken English, so I know it wasn't youBob, and his email has been hacked. Bob, you'd better change your p/w immediately and don't anyone open any unexpected emails from "Bob" until further confirmation of safety.

Same here, I d/l it to my virtual drive partition, and looked it over and upon opening the .pdf file, malware bytes blocked the action so it was trashed and deleted.  |

Yea, it looks like they got to everybody I ever emailed. I have cleaned it up and recovered all my files now.
Sorry if it caused any problems out there. A word of warning to everybody. Change your passwords every once in a while and make it harder for the hackers.
The good thing about this is that it turns out Google is very easy to use as a recovery tool. All my contacts on my computer and phone where gone and with just a little digging I got everything back and secured my account.
The hackers only had access for about 30 minutes. But that was enough to make a real mess. It was a bit scary watching my phone take a crap while I was at a meeting. Luckily it was with a computer guy and we stopped what we were doing and blocked the hacker right away.
