What were the stock tunings on Fender's pedal D-8? Weren't they A6 and E7? I would be curious to know the notes and pedal movements. |

Chris, I recently downloaded a PDF of the Fender 1000 manual that list the tunings and pedal assigments/combos...try a google search for Fender 1000 pedal steel. If you can't find it, I'll e-mail it to you later tonight.

Thanks Jody , I was hoping someone could provide this info . I had guessed it would be someone like one of those musicians. If you happen to read this post do you also know if Mike Dees who was mentioned as Santo and Johnny's drummer in an older forum post on the topic, was the drummer on the albums, or was that a studio rhythm section . I loved whoever the rhythm section was on those golden oldies |

Mike Dee (DiVisconte)Santo & Johhny's uncle did the original recording at Canadian American records studio.
But Mike did "not" do the sessions after that time if you need the link I can post it.
Thanks edited for for correction of spelling

Jody ;
Yes I meant the band on the Santo n' Johnny sessions on Canadian American Records . I don't have any others actually , just the " Offshore " lp and the classic album with Sleepwalk , All Night Diner , Caravan , Summertime etc. |

I'm sorry,I dont know the names of the band members. I do know they were friends of Santo and Johnny and played gigs with them on Long Island. I can e mail Johnny if it's that important to you.
Thanks for remembering two fine people.
Santo & Johnny Farina. |
