Great video, thanks, do you know what year or venue that was from, wasn't listed in the descriptions or in any of the comments I saw. _________________ Regards, Craig

Some folks say they can't remember the sixties, not me. I can't remember the nineties
Off course I don't know where this comes from, but the same lineup played in Frankfurt. I rembember that the steel was placed center stage and was loud in the mix (which surprised me). _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

I think this video is from early 2000's as it has Larry Campbell and Charlie Sexton - around the time of Love and Theft. Current steel player Don Herron is pretty amazing too but is way down in the mix but you can really appreciate
his stuff on the recent releases. Thanks for sharing this one.

It was another guitar player than Charlie Sexton on that night. Larry also played mostly guitar. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Just looked again and you are right -
I think it was John Jackson on guitar. |

Hmm, 2 steels? Larry sitting idle at 2:30 solo with off camera solo going on that sounds very steel like. Could be a B bender but sounds pretty full on pedal steel? |

I heard from someone close to the situation....
That was absolutely Sexton, and he had a B-bender tele. |

What am I missing? They're playing all over each other. |

Heard story from someone in the room a long long time ago. band rehearsals for a record. Guitar player suggested to Bob that, rather than just play the stuff, maybe they could discuss and work out some arrangement stuff. Well, the next day, the new guitar player didn't say much....True story. |

Larry Campbell also played steel in several tunes on folk singer Richard Shindell albums. |
