Does anyone know if there is a "standard" spacing between foot pedal cross shafts on various brands of psg? My Fessy is 2.5" but the old wide bud pedals are at 2.75".Is the bud spacing an anomaly? |

I believe that the pedal spacing on the old Sho~Buds was greater than on the newer pedal steels, that accounts for the wider spacing of the cross shafts. |

The cross shaft spacing is the same as the pedal spacing. |

Hey Storm,
I've been told anything between 2.25" and 2.875". Depends on the Builder, the year, model. I believe that Sho~Bud changed theirs from 2.5" to 2.625" or vice-versa. I had asked a builder this same question years ago so I've may have forgotten some detail.
I would have to say that there's no STANDARD. Kinda depends on the pedal configuration and what type of hardware they are trying to squeeze under the cabinet. _________________ "Don't fergit to kiss yer horse!"
