Just talked to Ron,and getting ready to order a New,Old push pull emmons.Yes i am very excited,he is going to send me emails of what cabinets he got left, these cabinets are 30yrs + in age.can't even imagine the sound they will have.this will take some time,he said if i work with him,he works with me. they are very busy building the newer emmons guitars.has a gang working on parts.I'm praying all will go well for them.anyway,if i find a cabinet i like, then will be placing a order soon.

I love to talk with RON,he is strickly guitar minded.said he has no time for the forum stuff. and i do understand that, there are other builders who finds the same thing. so i be updating how this deal is going. farris

Farris, I don't think I would laquer that axe if I were you. Ask Ron if he can "FUR" it. A nice grey and white would look nice, with two shiney eyeballs on the front. Jennings would eat his heart out.

John, don't you worry bro,i'm working on it.i don't want no emmons signs at all on it.it's gonna be a possum guitar. if i'm not wrong,i'll take the possum king in the near future!!! leave Jennings shaking his head wondering where he went wrong.

Great to hear some positive stuff..about Emmons...I talk with them, have them do work on my guitars, have bought three from them...yet some of the posts talk about "Is Emmons still in business?" Well, the answer is yes, building guitars as hard as they can, and don't really get into the "internet"...And, great people - not cocky, just build super guitars. Very busy, working. No time for the forum...trying to meet delivery deadlines...

Bowie, your right man,I've always been told if you can't say something good, just don't say nothing!!I was very impressed talking to Ron yesterday! and they are going strong. we talked push pulls and all pull emmons guitars.

Larry, just hold on man.i gotta get the parts i need off Jennings guitar first. but there will be plenty left for you to i'm sure. Why he don't even need FOOT PEDALS or KNEE PEDALS , he plays it like a 6 string lap steel!!!Might even get the LEGS off it toooooo. he can lay it cross a chair.haha

John,he be kindda wanting some stuff i think.but he don't get none until we finish.

Farris, are you going to assemble the push-pull yourself ? I only owned one push-pull and I had to thread both ends of the rods and use thumb screws underneath the body to tune a string that had a lower/raise. I know I could never live long enough to set up a push-pull from scratch. Man,you are BRAVE PUSH-PULL-POSSUM WARRIER.

With these new/old push/pulls, there is absolutely no assembly required. They are complete in every detail. Everything is brand spankin' new except for the 30 year old cabinet.
Farris,
Are you getting a single or double neck?

Hard to believe that the Emmons folks have "no time" for the forum and the internet...

Seems to me that a good portion of potential buyers would be easy to contact through this medium.

What an awesome place to "market" your product.

Look how much buisness has been generated for the Black Box, Carter, MSA, rack builders, seat builders, speaker cabinet builders, Peavey, LIne 6 POD, Fender, Hilton Pedals, Peterson Tuners, CD artists, makers of covers and cases, and the various attachable accountrements that attach to the steel legs to hold bars, picks, etc....

Imagine if they did not advertise and market through this forum?

I would bet they would not have done the business they have been doing...

I guess Emmons is doing OK these days without all of this great fellowship...

Tim,i will not disagree with you, but i do know that computers take time.and there are other builders, and players who do not take part in the forum.I guess if you are already back logged for a year or so,why get involved with answering and arguing on the forum??I don't think i would personaly.

SELLING BBQ CAT FOR EXOTIC TROPICAL FOOD..AND SUCH THINGS AS THAT...YES ITS TRUE......HE EVEN SOLD ARMADILLO AND CALLED IT FLORIDA CAVIER AND ESCARGO......THAT BOY IS SLICK BELIEVE ME .....THAT GUITAR HE IS TALKING ABOUT, I HATE TO HAVE TO DRIVE 200 MILES TO PUT IT TOGEATHER, SO HE WILL NOT GET THE PEDALS ON THE WRONG SIDE......HE CAN HAVE ANY COLOR HE WANTS AS LONG AS IT IS A SHADE OF BLACK.....HE COLOR BLIND ANY WAY..............JENNINGS,,,,,PK;;;;;;;;;;;;

I don't want to get anything started, but I've got a Question? If Ron has all these old p/p body's, and I'm sure he does, cause a few people have bought some of them. Why don't he get them all layed out and take inventory on what he has , and then when someone makes a request for one,he would have a list of the stock thats left, and you would know right then and there, what he had and if there was anything you wanted, rather than, I will have to dig around and see what I've got I will get back with you in a few days.

STEVE,i can't answer that, but i do know Ron will be quick to tell you these cabinets are old,and the finish is not perfect. His prime thing is his all pull guitars.and i understand,it kindda gets in the way to build the old push pulls.have to set up all the machines different, ect.he is not sure he wants to build anymore push pulls since the demand just isn't there for them no more.not trying to defend no one. just what i understand. farris
