Sounds like Whitey Shafer singing and the late great Pete Drake on Steel Guitar. |

Pete Drake was a good session musician, but I didn't know he could play like that. Sounds more like Hal Rugg. |

Hi Guys,
Roger is correct, that is in fact Pete Drake playing. Good backing!
Kind Regards, Walter _________________ www.lloydgreentribute.com |

From what I read about Pete, and from comments on here about how Pete helped numerous Steel Players get work in Nashville, I would say Pete was a Hell of a nice guy. Pete's Credits as a Steel player and Producer is well documented.
He may have been the most under rated Steel Player that had a 30 + year recording career of many # 1 hits. Pete was one of my favorite players. May he rest in peace. |

I was a big fan of the stuff he did with people like Johnny Rodriguez and George Jones. I was more use to that Dive-bomber sound and didn't know he played much of the other. We should know better than to challenge you Roger. |
