What instrument(s) do you use with it?

My supposition is most guys buy these things to use with their pedal steels. Does anyone set up a lap steel in standard Dobro tuning (GBDGBD) especially for use with this pedal? That's my plan. Wondering if anyone else was thinking along those lines, and if so, what are your impressions.

Not to derail your thread, but where can you even buy this pedal nowadays? I'd like to know!

I have one that I bought when my Goodrich MatchBro died. As far as "dobro" tone, the MatchBro wins out. Fortunately I was able to repair the MatchBro.

I did some comparison tracks, same backup track and song. I had these posted on my web site, but it was taken down back around February. I did one with the MatchBro (the original model with a tone control in bypass), one with the Tom Bradshaw unit with my regular BJS steel bar and another with my special MatchBro bar. The Bradshaw unit was closer to the "dobro" sound with the BJS steel bar. But, the MatchBro was more realistic.

I've sold 420 Resonators. I presume those buyers are still using them, even though, so far, only 14 of those buyers have responded to the survey. ...Tom

Using mine with pedal steel....saves lugging around xtra equipment. And oh yeah. ...play around with different settings, add some non resonator effects!

I just got one. Pretty cool. I used it on a few songs this weekends. Singers like hearing something different from the steel player. I switch to a glass bar and play dobro-ish licks on the middle strings.

The tone control doesn't seem to do much, if anything. Is it very subtle? Confused I'm using a Telonics pickup and volume pedal, and a Milkman Half and Half amp.
