Love the Alcatraz Islanders! The Bay area is lucky to have them. If I lived there I would be at every show. So nice!

Exactly my thoughts David....I love these guys...perfect combo of instruments and musicians ! Great stuff ! Brings tears to my eyes, seriously !

Maybe sometime when I am in Phoenix I could fly up there and check them out in person...the cost would be worth it to me !

Brilliant! The whole combo is ace, but the steel playing is over the top. Exactly where I wann go in the future. Did I get it right that there's no volume pedal and no pot turning, all the dynamic comes from the touch of the playing hand? Great!

I'm totally amazed to hear such fine musicianship from a bunch of guys who managed to escape from Alcatraz ! Wow !!! The steel has such a beautiful tonal quality seldom heard these days ! I am awestruck !!! I play most of the instruments (sans the drums), and can only admire the power of the ukulele; the solid rhythm of the Epiphone guitar; excellent upright bass and very tasty drums. What a group of fine "prisoners" Smile If I'm ever "convicted" I hope the judge sentences me to life at (the new) Alcatraz just to hear such a fine group !
