National Bridge

I really love my National D8 - it's like putting on your favourite jumper when it comes out of the case. What I would like is just a little bit more sustain. As there it not a lot of room for any massive alterations I am wondering if replacing the bridge and nut with similar pattern brass would make any difference.

Any ideas?
