Might have some historical value. And sold by Bobbe. It's the guitar in the back.

The Kenneth Dail mentioned was my teacher when he lived in Kinston, N.C. I would go to his house every Wednesday night for a lesson, then accompany him to whichard's Beach for his Friday night gig. At the end of the night, he would let me get up and play the tunes he had taught me.

Tore, does your guitar also have a factory serial#? Just curious. Also I've found the Carter chart for 66 and 67 pretty much useless. After 69. It's pretty much on the money. Just my experience.

To add to the confusion. This from Bobbie at Emmons.

This information comes off of the shipping invoice: 1002D...D10....white leather......was exchanged for guitar 2436 3-9-67....and shipped to Weldon Myrick Music Sales 12-19-67 and as to the other guitar I have no information on it.

Interesting. And thanks for your reply. Dad's Sept 67 has no stamped #.

Damir, never seen a brown belly with black mica. It's a never been polished, (that I can remember) Mahogany mica. Should clean up nicely. Maybe it will look less black in this shot. Sorry for the low rent photo's. Guess the belly looked black also.Oh Well

Bobby, I'm curious to know if the actual wood your dad's guitar is made of is mahogany. Some of the brown belly bolt-ons were. One of mine is.

Don't know Tommy. And it's not here for me to examine. But I have a strong feeling it is. Nothing has ever been moved on the undercarriage since it was built. I can't think of a way to check without removing something. Which I really hate to do. But very curious know. As you know, I've compared this one to other Bolt On's down through the years but felt this one was the clear winner. How do yours stack up?

Anyone have a good idea as to how many D-10 aluminum neck Bolt On's where built? I'll guess around 120 since they built a good many single 10's and a few wooden necks during those years. Again i'm only guesstimating.
