After a bit of a wait and confusion from Sweetwater.com trying to get the then,new, Electar, I finally got one from Music 123, strung it up with SIT C6 strings and plugged it in. I found a big, fat,gorgeous Hawaiian sound with the treble rolled off a bit. I tune to Jerry Byrd C6/A7 and all of the tones were golden. Then I took a look at the pickup. The Epiphone specs listed a blade pickup and in fact, the guitar had a pickup that looks like a Jazz Bass!. Not to worry though, as it sounds marvelous and I'm glad I went to the trouble to find it and bring it into the family.
