It was great to hear David Spires in Greenville Ohio last night... Sounded super and did a fantastic job for some little know deep voiced singer named Josh. Lol! Really enjoyed the show. Super capable multi-instrumentalist group of musicians... A show worth any effort to see...

David is a class act for sure, great player and real nice guy.
I met David way back when they used to have the Gospel Show in Indy. Indiana.
David was playing a Carter, with NO SHOES too. Very Happy

I saw him at festival in Berea, Ohio on Saturday - I believe he was playing a Carter and sounding great. Josh's set was definitely the high point of the day!

Thanks a bunch, to all three of you! Paul, Steve Hinson, Jerry Douglas, and Russ Pahl put down some great stuff that I get to try and copy each night. It's very bluegrass-infused country, and I'll bet we stuck out like a sore thumb in Berea, OH (a country music festival full of 80s rock covers).

The guys in the band are fantastic, and Josh is a pleasure to play behind.

I wish I had gotten to talk shop with either of you.

Yes, Carter, Gretsch Reso, my wife's Fender Wayne Kramer Strat for the overdriven slide stuff - and POD HD500X running direct.

Sincerely,

David Spires

Wow, didn't know there was a Wayne Kramer Strat. And it's your wife's? How cool is that? Cool

Kick out the jams... brothers and sisters!

Oh, My Wife is MUCH cooler than I am! Yeah, I just put a temporary raised nut on it, and have been playing it that way for a couple of months now. The mechanics of it take some getting used to, but it's fun - and the humbucker in it makes it similar to what I try and get from my Asher.

An American Flag guitar is kind of fun!

Smile
David
