When I step on the A and B pedals of my all-pull guitar I hear binding (crunching) noises coming from the fingers. I can also feel it by touching the fingers. It's like the mechanics start moving and then encounter resistance and snap a couple of times before reaching full travel.

I am not an expert on pedal steel mechanics so before I start blindly tweeking stuff and disassembling things to see how they work, does anyone have some advice?

Thanks in advance,

Terry

Check for a broken string end (ball end) that may have fallen between the fingers.
You may need a flash light.
