Black figured walnut with mahogany neck threw build. 22.5 scale Humbucker pickup. Custom bridge an nut ,Grover keys, step down body, 3/8s fret board milled into neck, cts pots, live strings. slotted key head. Maple frets an dots. Another beauty by Johnie.
I am the proud and very happy owner of the keyless 8-string shown at the bottom of the first set of photos. Not only does it look great, its tone is to die for, and it has "cup of coffee sustain." Just finished converting the shipping box into a case; fun project. On top of that, dealing with Johnie was delightful.
