This is what I'd do
Tab:
D6th
    LKL LKR  P1  P2  P3  P4  RKL RKR
F#               +G      +G
D   +D# +E                   -C#
B       +C#                      +C
A            +B      -G#
F#               +G      -F
D   +D#
B                                +C
G   -F#              -E

Covers a good percentage of standard E9th and C6th styles, with plenty of room for imagination.
