I want to be 100% clear on items I sell.
I will not hold items pending payment
Item goes to the buyer who first pays for said item
Your best bet is to PayPal funds soon as you decide you want item. This way you are guaranteed to be the new owner.
I have adopted this personal policy as too many times people really want something but can't seem to pay for it right away, then later have excuses why they didn't fulfill agreement. Do not shop till you can pay.
