Where could I buy metal corners for a Carter S10 case? _________________ I don't know much but what I know I know very well.

Thanks. The corners on my case are big ugly things. I think the original owner had wheels on it and took them off before selling. _________________ I don't know much but what I know I know very well.

Antique Electronics has Metal Corners. While they have a great selections of parts and stuff for old electronics, they also have a good selection of General Electronics and Hardware.
HTH. Good luck with your project.

Thanks Jerry. Lots of great stuff here. The corners on my case are ball corners. I don't know if they're original or not. I think I'll just replace them all. _________________ I don't know much but what I know I know very well.

You're Welcome Charlie. Here's a 1 1/2" corner that I have and see on a lot of steel cases. Has the built in bulb that also acts as a sort of glide. http://www.pennelcomonline.com/us/Penn-Elcom-Medium-Ball-Corner-C1187Z/m-8733.aspx
Of course you need to make sure your existing straps etc. will allow a 1 1/2" corner.
Another nice thing about these is, for a heavy item like a steel, the ball is taller than the mounting screw area and allows space so that the screws/rivets don't gouge your expensive wood floors or snag the carpet. |
